Minibus Drivers Required for our CE Scheme
Galway Centre for Independent Living CE Scheme Ltd are looking for Minibus Drivers to join a well-established Accessible Transport Service which runs Monday to Friday for its customers.
Eligibility to participate in CE Schemes is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups.

For the role of Minibus driver, you must be at least 25 years old for insurance
reasons and must have either a Full B (Car) or D Driving Licence. Garda Vetting
will be required for this position.
Applicants must be friendly, approachable, patient and have good communication skills. You will work as part of a team to deliver a safe, friendly and efficient service.
This is a
developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be
provided to support you in this role and develop your skills for your career.
The role of Minibus Drivers is to transport people with disabilities and
mobility impairments across the city and surrounds thereby assisting them to
live independently. All routes are preplanned, and scheduling of routes and
drivers is well organised for both customers and drivers. All drivers work on a
roster, to enable the driver to work fixed hours each week. The roster normally
follows 2 days working in a week, followed by 3 days the following week and the
cycles repeats.
