Galway Centre for Independent Living is implementing the Practical Quality Assurance System for Small Organisations (PQASSO)

PQASSO has been designed specifically for organisations whose primary purpose is to make a social impact rather than a profit. Implementing a recognised quality standard will demonstrate our organisation is managed efficiently, provide quality services, and is making a difference.

Some of the benefits, principles and values behind PQASSO are:

  • Putting services users at the heart of our organisation
  • Valuing staff and volunteers
  • Ensuring GCIL is a learning organisation that is beneficial for both service users and staff.
  • Better communication among staff, board members, service users and funders (where appropriate).

PQASSO is a quality assurance system intended to ensure GCIL continue to grow and manage the organisation more effectively and efficiently. By implementing PQASSO GCIL will review, systemically, what we do as an Organisation, identify areas where we are doing well and not so well and highlight areas that require improvements.

GCIL believes that all our service users and employees are fundamental to the success of the organisation and value their opinions. GCIL welcome feedback from our service users and employees; feedback on what we are doing well and not so well will assist GCIL in our continuous drive to deliver an effective and efficient service.
